JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

The role defines, designs and implements process improvement through the Lean Six Sigma methodology and ensures integration and alignment vertically and horizontally across the organization which is aligned with business strategies and priorities - responsible for the "Copy Exact" operating philosophy – establish systems and drive programs to engrain the "Copy Exact" into the factory operating culture.

Responsibilities

• Leads operation/engineering teams to evaluate and enhance manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (LSS) tools, Copy Exact processes and quality control standards.
• Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods with optimum utilization of LSS tools to assist in preparing the feasibility studies and ensure that the costs incurred are justified.
• To achieve cost-effective designs and carry out research, design and development work of the manufacturing processes that would include assembly methods, production flow and production equipment without compromising on the quality standards to ensure increased efficiency and quality.
• Manages a Lean Six Sigma Manager to ensure the LSS Development Plan is well executed and sufficient LSS talent pipeline across Asia sites.
• Partners with counterparts from global sites to maintain the "Copy Exact" process between factories.
• Works with counterparts to enhance the systems and ensure the best-known methods are continuously shared and proliferated.
• Establishes and creates a continuous audit of factory processes and equipment to ensure compliance with the established "Copy Exact" checklist.
• To ensure that quality activities performed by the incumbent and subordinates (if any) comply with MS ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and IECQ HSPM QC 080000 procedures.

Authorities

• Manage changes and maintain "Copy Exact" post NPI transfer/sustenance.
• Reset and re-measure matching parameters (CE checklists) for major models

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Degree in any technical discipline
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in plant audit with understanding of Process/Equipment or Quality Engineering in microelectronic components, semiconductor, and/or PCB assembly is preferred.
• Skills: Must have good oral and written English communication skills. Software skills including MS Office and statistical analysis are required.
• Special Requirement: Experience in the "Copy Exact" operating philosophy is advantageous. Be willing to travel frequently domestically and internationally.
