JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a robust global IT infrastructure in collaboration with regional teams worldwide, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
- Oversee day-to-day operational tasks, including planning, timing, and coordinating projects within the IT Infrastructure team.
- Lead and drive the infrastructure specialists in KL to develop an IT plan aligned with the client’s goals and strategic objectives.
- Manage budgeting for IT expenditures, including infrastructure upgrades and cybersecurity tools.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key IT suppliers and vendors.
- Develop, execute and oversee comprehensive procedures, policies and related training plans for project management and infrastructure administration.
- Design and implement cybersecurity protocols to protect company assets from cyber threats.
- Evaluate technology risks to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.
- Test, troubleshoot and maintain the reliability, security and continuity of critical IT infrastructure components to enhance IT productivity.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and stay abreast of advancements in IT and cybersecurity technologies.
- Provide global, on-call support availability after hours as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- At least 10 years of regional or global IT Infrastructure experience.
- Subject Matter Expert in information technology, security, networking, virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V), cloud (Azure) and Windows servers (O365 & Intune).
- Strong personality capable of partnering with the CIO to establish a global architecture infrastructure for over 50 locations and 3 data centres.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive a team of infrastructure specialists in KL who work on worldwide projects.
- Ability to bring a global perspective, follow standards and maintain confidentiality.
- A highly enthusiastic and proactive individual, who can deal with uncertainty.
- Preferably a Mandarin-speaking candidate to interact with the stakeholders from the manufacturing side based in China
