JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

• To ensure the EHS certification and sustaining of EHS and Facility functions and operations to achieve company-wide safety goals and minimize waste generation.
• To provide basic facility supply and utility required plant-wide and to minimize interruption to Operation for the company and any other entities established in Malaysia

Responsibilities

• Establish and revise EHS and Facility goal setting with support from HOD/DH plant-wide and also with input from the non-managerial level.
• Understand and implement ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and other applicable legal and other requirements.
• Business Continuity Plan (BCP) lead.
• Systematically implement & track EHS and Facility project/program vs its goal achievement
• Coordinates all facilities-related services and utilities such as building maintenance, utility supply, clean room requirement, building settlement and general housekeeping most efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Provides leadership for EHS employee relations through effective policies, communications, coaching, training and development.
• Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved EHS working environment.
• Involve in strategic planning with space utilisation and budget planning
• Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, environment, health and complete and on-time delivery.
• Determines operations headcount needs and ensures compliance with company policies.
• Manages compliance with audit requirements and state and federal regulations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Authority

• Manage all Facility and EHS operations to meet its goals and objectives and to decide to respond to customer, legal and other requirements.
• Report any Facility/safety non-compliance issues to the MD for further disposition. eg line stop/evaluation
