JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Assistant Accountant (TR & AP) assumes responsibility across Treasury work (TR) and Vendor-related work (AP). 

Responsibilities

• Treasury Tasks
• Preparation and posting of banking journals
• Preparation of daily cash reports
• Perform bank reconciliation
• Resolution of issues raised by AU HQ/Finance Manager/Group Finance Team Lead
• Assist finance team with month end accounting tasks as required
• Any other tasks to be transferred from AU
• Any other tasks to be assigned by Group Finance Team Lead or Finance Manager.
• Accounts Payable Tasks
• Carry out vendor creation 
• Perform verification work for vendor profiles
• Contact overseas stakeholders eg. suppliers, purchasers on resolution of any vendor-related issues
• Process improvements to improve supplier creation/invoice processes.
• Assist finance team with month end accounting tasks as required
• Any other tasks to be transferred from AU
• Any other tasks to be assigned by Group Finance Team Lead or Finance Manager.

• Understanding of Accounts Payable and Treasury processes
• Strong spreadsheet skills, in particular utilising Microsoft Excel
• Highly organised and attention to detail
• Problem solver who possesses an analytical mindset
• Possesses good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision in a team environment
• Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent. 
• At least 3 years of working experience in a finance-related role.
• Awareness of relevant functions and business processes in the operation of a finance department.
• Good command of English.
