JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Director in general accounting and other areas of accounting including cost accounting, management accounting, taxation, etc.
• Involved in monthly Financial Statements and Financial Analysis Reports including cash flow statements, inventories, fixed assets, etc.
• Oversee and review subordinates’ monthly accounting transactions and records which include reconciliation of General Ledger, Account Payable, Account Receivable, Forex and Balance Sheet.
• Responsible for checking income statement balance and bank accounts and maintaining good documentation and filing system.
• Responsible for inter-company transactions and preparing the annual/quarterly statistical data for submission to the Statistics Dept.
• To ensure the statutory compliance of the financial statements of all companies within the Group.
• To liaise with auditors, tax agents, the company secretary and other statutory bodies/authorities on matters pertaining to the above.
• To ensure the accounting records are well-maintained and accurate.
• To monitor and ensure all related financial management reports are on schedule and to meet the requirements of both relevant authorities and the management of a public-listed company.
• Well-versed in tax planning as well as handling taxation matters for local and foreign employees.
• To ensure and keep the confidentiality of all documents, records and reports in relation to Account Dept.
• Any other ad hoc financial works as may assigned from time to time by the management.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance and those who possess ACCA or MIA membership would be preferred.
• Based on the candidate’s work experience, we will provide suitable positions and attractive remuneration packages to suitable candidates.
• Sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Hands-on experience in preparing financial statements and in compliance with accounting standards.
• Ability to plan for and keep track of multiple projects and deadlines.
• Working experience in a manufacturing plant as a Cost Accountant will be an added advantage.
• At least 5 years of working experience in accounting field holding similar positions including handling audit, taxation and cash flow, in manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications especially in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP application implementation.
• Able to conversant in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu.
• Strong ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication, leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Possess own transport and willing to work in Banting, Selangor.
