JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Human Resource & Admin Manager will be reporting to Group Executive Vice Chairman, the candidate will be responsible for the overall Human Resource and Administrative matters of the Group’s Property Development & Construction division & Manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Human Resources and Administrative functions of the Group of Companies and ensuring compliance with Company’s policies and practices.
  • Develop, update and maintain all necessary HR policies employee handbook, procedures, HR programs and information systems to ensure that the company has all the information required for effective resource planning and management and regulatory compliance.
  • Plan, manage and coordinate all human resource initiatives, necessary manpower planning, recruitment and selection procedures to ensure that the company has staff of the right calibre to enable it to meet its corporate objectives.
  • Develop, update and maintain a remuneration strategy, compensation & benefits policies and appropriate terms and conditions of employment and drive the performance appraisal system and management to ensure that the company is able to attract, retain and motivate staff.
  • Advise the managerial level about the HR policies, procedures and actions required to ensure that the company makes the best use of its employees.
  • Identify, plan and manage training and development activities as well as ensure the planned training is implemented according to the agreed scope, budget & timeline.
  • To handle and advise management on issues related to staff disciplinary, counselling and grievances, as well as other employee relation matters and ensure it is in compliance with labour laws and legislations.
  • Manage and monitors payroll administration to ensure the accuracy of monthly salary payment, as well as all statutory requirements, are met and complied with.
  • Maintain an awareness of the requirements of employment legislation to ensure that the group of companies complies with all legal requirements and to provide sound advice to management.
  • Prepare monthly reports for HR such as hiring, attrition, retention, HR budget, manpower planning, stationeries, utilities bill reports etc.
  • As directed, to perform other duties of similar and associated nature of work.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience in various industries, Property & Construction industry preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Succession planning experience (have implemented ESOS or any long-term incentive scheme)
  • Having done a student internship program with a local university for induction into permanent positions in the Group energy-saving business (Engineer background or any) is added advantage
