JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Responsible for overall development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS). Develop and implement the Quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support manufacturing aligned to the Regional Quality Control Systems

Continually reviewing customer requirements and making sure they are met.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a safe work environment for plant personnel, contractors & visitors by meeting Zero Harm to people and the environment.
  • Observes and actively demonstrates the leadership behaviours required to lead safety standards and people performance – Felt leadership & Our Bond
  • Ensures that the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Builds and leads a strong Quality team comprising engineers, inspectors, auditors, analysts, and technicians to perform QMS through Quality Design, Quality Control, Quality Tests and Quality Audit
  • Manages material specification to meet our products specification
  • Ensures up-to-date lab capabilities with real time test data to always guarantee product quality.
  • Manages QMS system with continuous improvements on performance with progressive targets per ISO standards and BlueScope Quality system requirements.
  • Manages periodic quality internal audits, calibration of critical tools and quality reviews with management
  • Cultivates Continuous Improvement culture, supported with strong verification process and effective problem solving. Leads problem solving for quality issues, with strong leadership to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Organizes technical discussions with customer, e.g. complaint of products quality, customer demand about product performance, and give a feedback of customer complaint and demand to a customer
  • Leads product recalls - tracks and executes corrective action. Manage product development in country and deploy to QMS

Requirements

  • Graduated with a minimum bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science
  • Demonstrated Safety Leadership practices and experience
  • Experience in an MNC manufacturing site in process and quality.
  • Minimum 5-year management experience in leading a Quality team
  • Management experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control
  • Familiar with Quality Management system, ISO9000 family requirements and country/customer quality regulations
