JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all finance activities, having complete responsibility for the finance function including the improvement and development of systems, processes, statutory compliance, and business controls:
• Project Control
• Bank Guarantees, Bonds and Letters of Credit
• General Accounting
• Reporting
• Tax
• Leading and developing the finance team in Malaysia (4 staff).
• Drive an effective approach to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting which supports the business needs and provides an insightful overview of business performance.
• Drive profitability and improve working capital management and cash flow.
• Finance Process owner within the ERP (LN) systems structure • Proactively taking interest in all business aspects and adding value by focusing on continuous improvement.
• To always assist the company to achieve its dedicated aim of “Best Practice”.
• To ensure all work and tasks are carried out in accordance with the Companies ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 QSHE Procedures
• Ensure an accurate and consistent information flow of financial data to all departments as required and requested, in a continuously proactive manner in respect of support colleagues and clients

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification or equivalent Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance, member of MIA or any professional accountancy body.
• Familiar with current statutory, legal, regulatory and accounting standard requirements for oil & gas services and the EPC industry.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in general accounting or other accounting functions, including 5 years of supervisory or team lead experience.
• Strong eye for details, high level of integrity and problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to multi-task and good MS office skills, especially Excel and experience with ERP systems e.g. Infor
• Must be hands-on and with a CAN-DO attitude.
• Solid knowledge & excellent communication skills in the English language.
