JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
As a Segment Manager, you are responsible to plan and ensure the execution of the Division, Business Unit or Product Group sales strategy for assigned areas, to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for products, systems and/or services in a profitable way. Drive and implement marketing and sales activities for the selected market segment(s) in line with the agreed strategy. Work with key external influencers to educate, inform and solicit support for new company ventures and technical developments. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and continuously monitor segment performance. The role will be reporting to a Market Development Manager for Electrification Business.
Responsibilities
- Creating, planning and implementing sales strategies and business development initiatives, in alignment with the global division strategy.
- Achieving sales targets with respect to both budgets and sales efficiency in the assigned segment.
- Responsible for leading, developing and coaching the related segment sales personnel proactively.
- Responsible for achieving key targets (e.g. volume, price, and mix) for the assigned segment.
- Creating detailed business plans, and implementing them with regular follow-up.
- Planning and executing a segment plan: Ensure the major End Users in the assigned segment are identified and prioritized. Account Manager for major End Users.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with the key End Users & Stakeholders in the assigned Segment. Following up on the company's performance in fulfilling their needs and communicating deficiencies and/or opportunities to the respective business lines.
- Identifying investments and relevant opportunities at a very early stage and ensuring the company's brand and products are well positioned.
- Monitoring and providing reports to the Marketing and Sales organization on market intelligence.
Requirements
- Engineer, with 5+ years of experience within the electrical end-user market, preferably within the Data Center or Building market.
- Proven track record of successfully creating and implementing growth strategies.
- Broad understanding of the sales process to large customers and end users.
- Proven ability to work across functions and reporting lines.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Must be a proactive self-starter. Be able to work independently as well as in team.
