JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
- To ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly group management accounts with fluctuation analysis.
- To ensure timely preparation of quarterly consolidation and report for the announcement to Bursa Malaysia.
- To assist in the preparation of the Group’s budgeting and forecasting process.
- To liaise with external auditors for annual audit and ensure timely issuance of audited financial statements.
- To ensure timely coordination and preparation of the Group’s Annual report.
- To ensure timely submission of tax returns of the company and subsidiaries.
- To coordinate and oversee the Group’s Transfer Pricing documentation.
- To be part of team responsible for establishing, reviewing, and updating of group accounting policies and procedures in line with changes in business requirements and relevant financial reporting standards.
- To liaise with internal audit on subsidiaries' quarterly internal audit report.
- To assist in ensuring improvement in accounting systems and processes.
- To analyse the monthly results of the business units and provide advice to improve the efficiency of the business units’ operations.
- Any other Ad hoc projects and tasks as required.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / ACCA / CPA MICPA/ CIMA.
- At least 8 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- An audit background is a must.
- Experience in the Retail industry is a plus.
- Possesses good analytical skills, preparing, checking and balancing routine financial transactions and accounts.
- Command strong knowledge of IFRS / MFRS accounting standards.
- Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a broader team.
- Ability to solve complex problems.
- Ability to take responsibility and be accountable.
- A steady personality, knowledgeable in supervisory and management techniques.
- Well-versed with ERP or Accounting software.
- Possess a balance in confidentiality and transparency and neutral in executing and supervising company policy and procedures.
