JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

• Lead the Asia Pacific Sourcing team (10 persons) to manage and improve existing vendors
• Identify, validate, and cultivate viable vendor partnerships
• Find & develop new sources with the team
• Implementing & improving key corporate processes, policies and guidelines
• Responsibility of pricing, minimum order quantities and payment terms with vendors on new and existing product programs
• Coordinate Insourcing & Outsourcing projects on the sourcing side
• Work with the Group Purchasing Team to re-source existing products to achieve cost-saving targets
• Close coordination with Category Buyers & Local Purchasing Managers in the group
• Managing projects of product and procurement development
• Responsible for benchmarking and negotiations
• Execute and coordinate factory audits

Requirements

• At least 10 years of related working experience
• Proven excellent international people management
• Good negotiation skills in handling/building internal & external international vendor relationships
• Stress resistant and creative
• Good numbers- and process understanding
• Background in Trading & Production business
• Bachelor (or higher) degree, preferably from Engineering, Procurement, Category management or Supply Chain background
• Able to work independently and under pressure
• Target and result orientated mindset
• Strategical mind and a strong sense of urgency and (internal) customer focus
• Good MS Office and presentation skills
• Excellent English & Mandarin (Hindi is beneficial but not required)
• Frequent travel to vendors and sites in Asia is required
