JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Improve the overall market position and competitiveness of assigned segment, concept, brand, product or solutions portfolio by building in-depth knowledge and understanding of the customer needs, requirements and the market situation, leading to achieving profitable growth and materialising innovations solving customer needs in accordance with segment and category strategies/budget.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and implement campaigns, launches, innovations or similar based on market analysis, competitor monitoring and customer insight within assigned area of responsibility
• Drive segment, category, brand, product or solution performance and leverage business potential through projects and processes in cooperation with other functions
• Ensure that the necessary marketing vehicles (products, systems and marketing material) are in place
• Create opportunities for collaboration between Jotun and Key influencers, Trendy businesses (furniture shops, restaurants, coffee shops) with a strong PR value.
• Generate marketing deliverables (insight, business case, key selling arguments and communication package)
• Drive the Category innovation strategy by identifying consumer insights and preparing Innovation concepts in cooperation with the Innovation Manager
• Responsible to grow category and brand with support from the region, local sales, technical, supply chain and customer network to achieve agreed financial results and market share.
• Develop and maintain local assortment and identify market needs, closely coordinate with different functions to increase market shares and profitability.
• Coordinate and assist in devising the strategies, plan, budget etc. in order to achieve the company’s objective and targets.
• Responsible for new product launches, implementations by working closely with the local and regional marketing teams in order to drive the success of new innovations.
• Develop and implement proper pricing and product management strategies by analysing market information and working closely with the Sales team in order to increase sales and market share in the responsible geographical area.
• Being able to match Jotun product portfolio to our target markets, identifying the gaps and deciding on corrective action or products needed, matching these needs with correct innovations.
• Develop content with Marketing: Home Décor Tips & Tricks using Paint, interior styling, festive content, etc. Creating stories about Colour to designers or architects.
• Be the connection point with key media in Malaysia and responsible for any media related events.

Requirements

• A Bachelor Degree in a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in PR, designing or stylist industry.
• Experience in managing various stakeholders internally and externally.
• Strong presentation & communication skills.
• Great connections with the key media in Malaysia.
• Familiar with the Microsoft Office application.
• Must be fluent in English; fluency in other languages is an added advantage.
