JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Team Lead, this position is required to enhance the design and implementation of ETL Jobs. The job requires prior experience in ETL development using the Talend tool and good exposure to the Unix/Linux environment. The candidate will be part of the data engineering team and work on ETL jobs design, implementation and maintenance. The candidate should possess good communication and technical skills - Hands-on DWH Environment, ETL Tool (Talend Preferred), SQL, Unix scripts, Scheduling Jobs, Data reports, documentation. ETL Developers need to understand, analyze and digest what a business wants to accomplish with its data, and design the best possible ETL Solution based on business requirements.
Responsibilities
Understanding development of Mappings according to the ETL Specifications for the staging area Data Load & destination Data Load.
Develop and implement ETL processes to move data from different sources to targets.
Experience in providing Logging, Error handling by using Event Handler for SSIS Packages.
Extensive database programming experience in writing SQL Stored procedures,
Functions, Triggers, Constraints and Indexes using various DDL and DML Commands.
Expert in writing Complex SQL queries, sub-queries and complex joins.
Involve in Performance tuning at different levels (Package, Source, and Target).
Scheduling the Reports weekly and monthly basis as per the Client requirements.
Develop database architectural strategies at the modelling, design and implementation stages to address business or industry requirements.
