JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
The overall responsibility of this position is to coordinate and supervise all aspects of planning in ASEAN. This position will have responsibility for raw material planning, supplier management, inventory control and raw material planning process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for an effective raw material plan in ASEAN to ensure smooth operation, continuous supply and not over inventory value.
- Resolves day to day issues concerning scheduling, quality and delivery problems.
- Improve raw materials planning processes.
- Manages slow moving inventory.
- Maintains the system parameters and utilizes software tools to efficiently execute the planning process.
- Works closely with the NPI team on new product development projects. Coordinate with all concerned functions for product transfer management to make a smooth transition plan impact to customers within inventory control.
- Responsible for product transition/coater transition, set up parameters required in the system.
- Leads the subordinates, provide coaching and guidance for the planning team on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Provides project management and supply chain, materials management and planning process improvement.
- Responsible for setting the correct parameters for stock levels, related processes and control mechanisms for materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.
- 7 to 8 years in Supply Chain or related experience, with 3+ years of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
- Experience in managing or leading projects is required.
- Working knowledge of modern manufacturing, material flow and improvement strategies (e.g. ELS, continuous flow, cellular etc.) and the ability to integrate those into the operation.
- Demonstrate understanding of financial systems and the key drivers within the manufacturing environment.
- Highly energetic, result-oriented, analytical skills, able to communicate at all levels and execution.
- Excellent organizational and people skills, project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely and concise manner.
