JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
- Required Japanese language to support Japan Procurement activities
- Sourcing and negotiating for the best terms and pricing from the qualified suppliers
- Managing the competitive bidding processes, execute cost down activity and meet company cost down %
- Coordinate payment issue between suppliers and AP
- Develop and manage supplier relationships program
- Ensure timely procurement and supply of quality products at optimum costs
- Provide purchasing performance evaluation, benchmarking & reporting
- Ensure that all purchases and tenders are processed according to the company business of conduct
- Determines and implements supplier performance and cost reduction program
- Ensure the supply of materials or service requirements through the development of supplier relationships and the optimum number of supplier’s base
- Leads and participates in cross-site and cross-functional team activities
- Responsible for GSM infrastructure issues, Contract management, data analysis, Quarterly Business Review (QBR), GSM specs, Dashboard & reports
- Ensure the products and services that are procured adhere to the company’s Worldwide Business Conduct Policy, environmental and social responsibility
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma or an equivalent qualification
- 5-7 years of experience in procurement in related industries in the manufacturing sector
- Fluency in written and spoken Japanese
