Joining our team as a Senior Application Administrator you will ensure the availability and functionality of our Enterprise Software applications for clients, global account teams and support teams from our office in Malaysia. Reporting to the Application Support Manager, your primary focus is to ensure customer service for application related incidents and service requests with a key objective of the reduction of incidents raised.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the availability of managed applications for use with regular customers and operational KPI adherence reviews as defined by the cloud services business.
  • Acting as a key technical contact for customers and managing customers and delivering the contractual service level agreement.
  • Reviewing complex issues and determining action plans, taking responsibility for the effective and timely delivery of managed applications services.
  • Evaluating the root cause of incidents and instigating actions to correct both the incident and the underlying cause. Performing quality control, verification and validation activities.
  • Assisting in the review and maintenance of technical standards and policies.
  • Maintaining the documentation and processes for administration and support.
  • Ensuring all activities are in line with the cloud services business direction.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Information Technology, Business or Commerce with a focus on Application Architecture or IT Systems, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 8 plus years of experience in an IT Service Delivery role.
  • Understanding of the ITIL framework, experience working in a mature change management process environment. Experience in supporting and/or administrating specialist mining applications in a medium-to-large enterprise environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of database fundamentals, windows or UNIX system administration.
  • Good understanding of Enterprise Application Architecture and Distributed Applications Architecture.
  • ITIL Certification at the foundation level.
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
