JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
The successful candidate will be a Manager/Senior Financial Analyst with cost accounting and departmental budgeting experience and solid analytical and communications skills to be successful in a rapidly growing international business. The position requires that the candidate be a hands-on professional with a strong understanding of the application of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting. A control and process-oriented mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and desire and ability to identify, recommend and lead improvements is also important. This position reports to the Director of Finance & Manager of Accounting
Responsibilities
- Provide financial support on factory cost performance, bills of material, and supply chain for the Intelligent Audio business
- Support Opex managers with departmental expenses including detailed annual cost budgets, quarterly forecasts, and periodic outlooks
- Prepare month-end journal entries and ensure that all sub-ledgers post and balance to the Oracle general ledger
- Prepare and review account analysis and reconciliations on a timely basis
- Variance analysis and standard monthly reporting
- Participate in the value creation process including maintaining product cost roadmap
- Inventory management including annual standard cost process
- Analyze and report product costs
- Capex justifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting CPA or MBA is preferred
- 5+ years of experience with cost accounting, month-end close, including compensation accounting experience
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a passion for a fast-paced environment
- Able to handle multiple assignments and manage competing priorities with tight deadlines
- Proven ability to work in a collaborative and cross-functional organization
- Strong process orientation; well-structured and well organized
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid financial and business acumen
- ADP, Oracle, and Hyperion systems experience is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, including advanced Excel functionality
