JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview
The Supply Chain Operations Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end Operations and leading a team to work with Contract Manufacturers to attain operational metrics throughout the product lifecycles, supporting business operational needs, customer experience, product reliability, process optimization, cost savings, standardization and continuous improvement. The incumbent will work closely with the Contract Manufacturers (CM) and internal teams to meet these goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead a team and work with cross-functional teams to manage the day-to-day operation execution with virtual factory (Contract manufacturers)
- Resolve conflict and ensure metrics attainment on quality, delivery and cost
- Manage NPI process and test executions
- Review and approve deviation, engineering change order as required from time to time
- Work with own team and cross-functional teams to resolve continuity of supplies issues
- Lead team and work with CM (contract manufacturing) towards operational excellence
- Work with team to ensure on-time delivery and inventory management and minimal PPV exposure.
- Manage team personnel development
- Manage and lead QBR with CM and internally
- Handles critical Project executions (eg: ERP transition, product transfers and etc.)
- Work with own team, cross-functional teams, Hardware Engineering to resolve any issues that would essentially affect NPI schedule attainment and product launch
- Manage product sustaining towards End of Life

- Networks with senior internal and external personnel in all area of expertise.
Supervision:
- Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
Experience:
- Typically requires a minimum of 10+ years of related experience in operations includes proficiency in process and test engineering, planning or supply chain commodity with a Bachelor's degree or Master degree.
Qualifications:
- Should be able to function independently, self-motivated, a strong team player, detail oriented, organized, hands-on and able to make strong decisions with minimal supervision and able to lead the team within and cross-functional teams.
- Experience or knowledge in PCBA/SMT/Box build manufacturing and process engineering, test engineering, component engineering, planning and supplier quality engineering preferable.
- Knowledge of Operations, Planning and Quality techniques: Design of Experiments, statistical process control methods and theory; six sigma methods; FMEA, Gage R&R, correlation and data analysis, Kanban, JIT, Waste reductions, EOQ, and etc. are preferable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with cross-functional teams and leadership
- Ability to travel to the Worldwide manufacturing sites to work face to face with the local engineering teams at key points in the product development cycle.
- 10+ years of overall experience with at least 5+ years of experience in managerial roles in storage, server, networking, or similar high technology product environment.
- Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree in industrial technology, industrial engineering, electrical or electronics engineering, or mechanical engineering or others relevant degree
