JOB DESCRIPTION
In this position, you will be responsible for Financial Reporting, Treasury and Taxation.
Key responsibilities:
- To assist in the preparation of management accounts, reports, balance sheet reconciliation/schedules in a timely and accurate manner
- To monitor and manage the accounts payable
- To manage cash flows and banking facilities
- Assist in preparing the estimated tax payable for the financial year and the revised tax estimate (6 months or 9 months) when necessary.
- Review the reasonableness of Tax computation and Deferred Tax
- Ensure Accounts are properly drawn up in accordance with the MFRS, Group Accounting Policies and Companies Act
- To perform any other ad-hoc tasks or projects as may be assigned from time to time.
- To liaise with auditors, bankers, tax agents and other relevant authorities
To succeed in the Accountant role, you will need to have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy/Finance or professional Accounting qualifications such as ACCA/CPA/MIA
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in handling the full set of accounts
- Possess high integrity, independent and analytical and communications skills together with a strong sense of responsibility
- Proactive, fast learner, self-motivated, multi-tasking and performance-driven
- Proficient in Excel, Words and PowerPoint.
