JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Working within the newly formed Global Translation Services department, this role will be receiving orders and completing translation/content writing. Working in a fast-paced environment producing and reviewing translated work, this role will be writing SEO-optimised documentation meeting customer needs. There is a varied amount of content to translate, from technical terms to marketing campaign materials, so this role needs to be flexible and able to adapt. With a customer service mindset, this role will be heavily connected to the brand strategy working in partnership with our clients.
As part of a pool of translators across different regions, this role will work in collaboration using the guidelines set for the language and brand by the Supervisor.
This role will have the opportunity to influence the success of this customer-focused service team contributing to ideas, client service offerings and translation solutions with a continuous improvement mindset. Ensuring we understand the needs of our customers and creating a best-in-class service.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service levels to The Workshop, Operators and Partners. Build relationships with clients, ensuring professional and customer-focused communications at all times.
- Receiving translation orders and effectively completing work aligned with the brand and language strategy. Managing deadlines and escalating issues appropriately.
- Ensuring a high-quality output of translation work at all times. Seeking feedback from Language Supervisor as required.
- Embedded within the client’s location, must proactively understand the business goals of the client and keep the Global Translation Services team up to date with information.
- Able to juggle multiple demands and keep to the prioritization schedule.
- Working with administrators on resource capacity planning, highlighting opportunities for time efficiencies and improved deadline management.
- Able to support large-scale projects in addition to daily translation tasks, ability to adapt to new business requirements.
- Keeping aligned with customers, understanding the brand strategy and aligning translations accordingly.
- Working as a part of the Global Translation Services team, ensuring high levels of collaboration and communication at all times.
Requirements
- Simplified Chinese Native Speaker/English bilingual. Additional languages an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with an emphasis on writing and editing in Simplified Chinese.
- Relevant Translator qualification and/or experience (over 3 years).
- Basic SEO knowledge.
- Strong communication skills with a diplomatic demeanour.
- Good interpersonal skills, great team player with a collaborative approach.
- Attention to detail essential.
- The ability to work within a time-pressured environment.
- Flexible approach and the aptitude to deal productively with various demands.
- Demonstrates initiative, persistence and enthusiasm for learning
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
