JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
•Collaborate and assist the Group Chief Internal Auditor in developing and implementing Audit Plan and Key Strategic Initiatives in support of the Bank’s Vision / Mission / Zero Tolerance Culture and Internal Audit Function as a “business partner”.
•Plan execute and supervise the investigation assignments and assess the effectiveness of the Bank’s internal control, risk management and governance processes so as to minimize losses.
•Review, finalize and ensure quality investigation report with in-depth root cause analysis and effective findings on fraud elements, staff collusion and misconduct, followed by recommendations to improve risk mitigation as well as business performance.
•Ensure that the investigation assignments are carried out in a most systematic and structured manner in line with the established Audit Investigation Work Guide.
•Seek cooperation from internal and external parties of the Bank (if required) for gathering information and evidence.
•Identify risk/deficiencies and to provide recommendations to improve business performance.
•Assess performance of Audit / Investigation staff.
•Provide leadership and identify training to improve the competency level of Audit / Investigation staff.
•Presentation of Investigation Report to the Management and the Audit Committee (AC).
•Manage and supervise follow-up to be conducted on the decisions made by the AC on the Investigation Report.
•Monitor and ensure closure of each decision made by AC on the Investigation Reports.
•Promote bank-wide awareness on risk and control and implementation of the ‘self-checking’ / ‘self-governing’ tools in support of the Bank’s ‘Zero’ Tolerance Culture.
•Play a participative and consultative role (advisory capacity) as well as act as a ‘solution-provider’ in assisting Management to accomplish the Bank’s established objectives and goals from the perspective of risk, internal control and process efficiency in line with the ‘business partner’ concept.
Requirements
· A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in related industries; had assumed senior technical or management positions with good professional ethics and occupational track records.
· A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in relevant fields, and in possession of relevant professional qualifications fulfilling the regulatory requirements (if any).
· Leadership and communication skills.
· Knowledgeable in core business processes of the Bank.
· Knowledgeable in policies, processes, procedures and work guide of the Bank.
· Working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
· Analytical and intuitive mind.
· Investigation Techniques and Procedures.
· Interviewing / Negotiation Skills.
· Report writing skills.
