JOB DESCRIPTION

The objective of the Reporting Executive is to be responsible for the monthly reporting (Financial reporting to Group and Capex reporting) and analysis for the Malaysia entities. The incumbent is to assist on the Budget exercise and on the Capex follow up and monitoring.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare the financial reporting (FS, cash, notes to FS, equity…) in compliance with Sibelco standards (SGAP) and submit in the group consolidation and reporting system (Cognos).
  • Monthly reconciliation of Local GAP vs SGAP (IFRS based)
  • Follow up checking and questions with regional office and group HQ.
  • Carry out analysis of business unit’s financial performance, variances, material amounts and provide necessary analysis and reports to the management.
Capex Reporting & Follow Up  

  • Ensure the compliance of fixed assets with group policies and internal controls processes
  • Perform the monthly reporting of Capex in line with the policy and requirements, liaise with the project and relevant departments teams for the various approvals/updates/follow up
  • Monitor Capex spending vs budgeted and approved amounts
  • Prepare relevant reports for overview and analysis for management
Budgeting

  • Communicate and organize with various departments involved on the Budget requirements and inputs
  • Gather and compile all relevant data for Budget construction process.
  • Support the analysis and presentation of the Budget
  • Follow up actuals against Budget
  • Prepare the quarterly forecast update
  • Support on the Hard Close process (test on financial items during Budget time)

General Ledger

  • Data entry and uploading of journal vouchers.
  • Prepare, analyze and monitor the balance sheet schedules.
  • Involve in monthly accounts closing and adhere to timeline set.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics/Corporate Finance or any related discipline is highly appreciated
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience which requires analytical exposure
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Good organization and English communication
