JOB DESCRIPTION

Principal Accountabilities

  • Own and manage NPI projects from kick-off through mass production, ensuring on-time, high-quality, and cost-effective execution.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including milestones, timelines, resources, and deliverables across all NPI phases (EVT / DVT / PVT / MP).
  • Act as the central coordination point across cross-functional teams, including Engineering (MTE, PD, PE, PT), Quality, MPM, Production (PC, MFG), and Logistics.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; drive FACA / RCA / CAPA activities for yield, quality, and reliability issues with clear ownership and follow-up.
  • Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for customers, managing expectations and balancing customer requirements with internal capabilities.
  • Track project progress, resources, and cost impacts; prepare and present status reports, risk summaries, and readiness updates to management and customers.
  • Lead change management activities, including ECN/ECR, process, and material changes, ensuring proper implementation and production readiness.
  • Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement to enhance NPI execution and future project performance.

Job Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.

Working Experience

  • Solid understanding of NPI processes, manufacturing operations, and engineering project workflows.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, risk management, and change control processes (FACA, RCA, CAPA, ECN/ECR) is preferred.
  • Project management knowledge or certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.

Language Requirements

Proficiency in English for business and technical communication; Mandarin is a plus.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and drive multiple tasks across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills to effectively interface with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and customers.
  • Proven ability to identify risks, analyze issues, and drive problem resolution through structured approaches (FACA, RCA, CAPA).
  • Solid understanding of NPI processes, manufacturing flow, and production readiness requirements.
  • Ability to manage changes and assess impacts related to design, process, material, and schedule changes.
  • Strong data tracking and reporting skills; capable of preparing clear project status updates and executive summaries.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills under tight schedules and pressure.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to balance customer expectations and internal capabilities.
  • Proficiency in English for technical and business communication; Mandarin communication skills are a plus.
  • Proficient in common project and data tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, project tracking tools).

Physical Demands

  • Good physical and mental health, able to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing and NPI environment.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime (OT) when required to support project milestones, issue resolution, and production schedules.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Capable of working on the production floor and supporting on-site activities as needed.
