JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Technical Services Manager, SEA, collaborates with Sales to provide the best application solutions to customers and provide technical support for all product groups.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical support function for pre-sales and after-sales support on product solutions. 
  • Partnering with the Sales Team to support and sustain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities while maintaining opportunities or increasing market share for existing business.
  • Manages field service personnel who perform on-site routine services, including product demonstrations, installations, maintenance, and repairs. 
  • Oversees the scheduling and training of field service representatives. 
  • Build a strong technical team.
  • Establish common workflow and cross-functional communication processes, & sharing of best practices.
  • Responsible for providing training & professional development to new staff members, and conducting work performance evaluations. 
  • Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge among technical services engineers.
  • Maintaining satisfactory after-sales relationships and development of long-term customer relationships, coupled with the ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs.
  • Establish & handle service contracts and manage support services.
  • Design and implement productivity and effective improvement programs. 
  • To support and comply with the “The company”  Global Policies, “the company” Policy, Quality Policy, Environmental Policy, Safety & Health Policy and other organisation policies that are relevant to job functions. To be responsible, accountable and committed to fulfil the codes and statements prescribed in the policies.
  • The above responsibilities are not exhaustive, and other related duties may be added from time to time.

Requirements

  • University Degree in Mechanical / Electronics / IT / Production / Industrial Engineering.
  • Must have at least 7+ years of experience working in a multinational company and in a similar management position. Candidates with working experience overseas will have an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.  Proficiency in additional languages will be an added advantage.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills and must be self-motivated.
  • Good interpersonal skills with all levels of employees. Feel comfortable as a focal point of communication between South Asia locations related to technical services activities.
  • Willingness to travel within the region.
