JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
- To lead ER/IR division and perform duties related to employee relations, employee services, industrial relations, Direct Labour recruitment, Foreign Workers, CSR activities and internal communication related to HR matters.
- Resolves employees’ complaints, manages grievance procedures and facilitates counselling in conjunction with other stakeholders through proper procedures.
- Investigating and resolving complex or critical industrial relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Collating and analysing employee feedback across all levels regularly and revising people programs and policies to generate positive working environments.
- Collaborates with the in-house doctor/nurse on matters related to employees who require further/critical hospitalization/medical treatment.
- Oversees foreign worker’s hiring including immigration, visa, medical, hostel etc. Attends to matters concerning the immigration regulations of foreign worker.
- Participates in the building of a caring employer image.
- Overseeing CSR activities, audit and compliance.
- Overseeing employee recreational programs as well as official company functions, like Company Dinner, Company Trips, etc.
- Overseeing company uniform e.g. smock, ESD shoes, locker, transport etc.
- Performs work assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR Management or related field required
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in the HR field, specialising in ER/IR + Supervision
- Overseeing direct labour hiring activities.
- Well-versed with the Malaysian Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967 and current Labour Law practices. Knowledge of RBA regulation is an added advantage.
- Ability to handle Industrial Relations matters relating to employee discipline, domestic inquiries and grievances;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; / Keeps Confidential information / Interest in people
