JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Establishing and identifying the needs of application/users and monitoring application/user access and security
  • Mapping out the conceptual design for a planned infrastructure architecture in outline
  • Set up hardware, install and testing on server, storage and software on the servers.
  • Controlling access permissions and privileges
  • Interact with various internal IT support functions (Development, Operations, QA) in SEM environment to analyze root cause and provide a permanent fix or workaround.
  • Maintain and deploy application patches, review audit logging and coordinate the scheduling preventive maintenance on IT infrastructures, following standards and best practices.
  • Actively identify incidents and manage the incident resolution process to provide service recovery.
  • Handle problems reported by user, provide first-aid help and refer problems to related parties.
  • Develop program utilities to automate processes.
  • Manage the handover between development and support teams, and learn about new project delivery as is necessary
  • Involved in installation, monitoring & maintaining of the IT infrastructures including Server, Network, Storage, Operating System, Backup & Disaster Recovery
  • Perform all tasks to fulfil service level agreements regarding Exchange based messaging and collaboration availability and security; including those involving user accounts, shared folders/calendars, mailing lists, resources and Outlook Web Access
  • Implement policies, procedures and technologies to ensure Exchange server security through secure access, monitoring, control and routine security evaluations.
  • Manage Exchange database(s), antivirus applications, messaging filtering, and error log tracking.
  • As 2nd level support to provide guidance and technical advice to IT Command Centre on incident / change / problem request within SLA.
  • A successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring routine system check. Monitoring security, resolving systems issue and to keep a good documentation
  • Establish and maintain a server security system and guarantee data integrity and protection in compliance with existing security policies and standards
  • Evaluate new technology and assess applicability to the requirements of the organization; identify and evaluate potential areas of improvement achievable through the new technology
  • Ensure change control requirements are observe
  • Manage and administer server-related activities particularly on the server’s operating, resources, monitoring, and software licenses
  • Participate in DR exercise and ensure adherence to established operating and security rules
  • Ensure company standards and procedures are adhered to

  • Monitor, review and respond timely to any alerts, error messages/log, space consumption and system growth, ensuring quit resolution of the problem.
  • Monitor and review all resource consumption, including disk space, CPU and memory utilization.
  • To performs technology needs analysis, provide solution in improving the overall process flow.
  • Require on phone standby during after working hours and weekend.
