JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

The role is responsible for co-coordinating, planning, administrating and implementing the company-wide system hardware, standard office applications, software solution development, and networking infrastructure readiness, and for the future planning and development of resources to support and improve the organization's operational productivity, minimize costs, reduce system disruptions and support the business growth and expansion from time to time.

Responsibilities

  • IT Planning and System Design
    • Interfaces with users and management to ensure that the new technology, computer applications and network adequately meets present and future needs.
    • Interface with all management users to plan and identify new key customization tools that required to design and develop in order to support the organization new activities or growth expansion adequately meets present and future needs.
    • Plans and schedules the appropriate resource to ensure effect operation of the computer network and in house application tool deliverables to support the operation activities requirement and need.
    • Continue improvement in planning for high availability systems or redundant design in order to minimize system disruptions.
  • Systems and Servers Administration
    • Matches network design with user needs, to enhance the efficiency and reduce the cost of the network operation.
    • Administers and ensures the high scalability of network infrastructure and servers to continue to support the huge growth of data storage, file-sharing services etc.
    • Monitor and setup the effective backup and restore systems.
    • Analyze the needs of the new systems or tools, create technology plans to address those needs, and execute those plans.
    • Takes charge on application deployment or computer technology related work to further enhance efficiency and growth.
  • Technical Support
    • Coordinates technical assistance to resolve compute and network operational problem in order to promote effective system operation.
    • Trains users in the utilization of the computer network and applications packages to enhance department efficiencies.
    • Solves technical problem for users by answering application package questions or by finding appropriate resource for problem at hand.
    • To grow and improve the technical support skill set with recent technology course and technical training.
  • Budget and Grants Management
    • Plan, manage and control the annual computer systems upgrade and maintenance budgets and expenditures for IT
    • Identifies the long-range financial impact of changes in the network in order to assist management in the long range strategic planning for information services on the network.
  • Procurement and External Vendor Management
    • Administer IT purchasing and asset management
    • Negotiate agreements and manage relationships and contracts with IT vendors, consultants and suppliers
  • Others
    • To establish the IT standard procedure, policies and practice to support ISO, SOX, CTPAT and other compliances and maintenance consistent standards aligned with Corporate IT.
    • To run and provide IT operations support to “the company”. And affiliates.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by Managing Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology 
  • At least several years working experience in
    • Network applications / Windows Servers Administration / VMWare Technology and SAN network storage knowledge / Web Application development to support operation activities / Manufacturing Executive System (MES)
  • Familiarity with standard office application programs and security systems.
  • Knowledge of standard networking equipment and design standards (VoIP)
  • Understanding of, and a passion for, technology and leading edge technology solutions.
  • Self-starter and demonstrated resourcefulness
  • Several years managing tech support, analyst developers and managing data network highly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Management knowledge of the network and servers setup, desktop support assistance, RDFBS database administration, server backup and restore
    • Management knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
    • Proficient knowledge in management of VoIP
    • Proficient knowledge in hardware troubleshooting in a computer and network server environment
    • Proficient knowledge in computer viruses and system security
    • Management of computer software basic packages
    • Management of Mobile email access technology
    • Proficient knowledge in wireless, network VLAN setup, VMWare server and Sun Solaris server technology
    • Supervisory and management skills
    • Flexible and strong ability to multi tasks
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Time, stress management and project management skill
