Summary

The Senior Manager, IT PMO will lead the establishment and management of the IT PMO, ensuring the successful execution of IT projects aligned with organizational goals and objectives. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in program and project management methodologies, IT governance, and organizational change management.

Responsibilities

• Establishing PMO Framework:
• Develop and implement a standardized PMO framework, including project governance, methodologies, process and tools, to standardize project delivery and ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
• Define and implement project governance structures, including project charters, steering committees, and decision-making processes, to provide oversight and accountability for IT initiatives
• Define project management standards, processes, and templates to ensure consistency and alignment across all projects
• Project Portfolio Management:
• Lead the identification, prioritization, and selection of projects aligned with business goals, value and strategic objectives.
• Oversee the management of the project portfolio, including resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling, to ensure successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget constraints
• Performance Measurement and Reporting:
• Develop and maintain project performance metrics and dashboards to track key performance indicators, project status, and milestones.
• Generate regular reports and presentations for senior leadership, providing insights into project performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Project Delivery Oversight:
• Provide leadership and guidance to the business project managers and teams, ensuring adherence to project management best practices, standards and methodologies.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure successful outcomes.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, frameworks, best practices, tools, and techniques, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to closure.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strategic thinker with a focus on driving results and achieving business objectives.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) and/or Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) is highly desirable
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or similar
• 5+ years of experience in project management, with experience in a leadership role overseeing a PMO or project portfolio
