JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

We are looking for a Finance Executive to be part of the Finance team based in our Malaysia office. This person will report to the Regional Finance Director, Asia Pacific. 

Responsibilities

• Updating the journal entries daily to the closing of accounts. 
• Assisting in getting the accounting transactions and reports updated in our SAP accounting system. 
• Checking weekly payments before approval for payment per the guidelines. 
• Cash flow forecasts and monitoring and issuing banking instruction letters for loan drawdown, rollover or repayment after consent to meet the payment funding requirements. 
• Handling SAP system issues, initiating contracts, setting up and reviewing reports etc. 
• Ensuring timely submission of local GAAP and US GAAP monthly financial statements and liaison with the international accounting department is required. 
• Prepare local management accounts for external audit purposes and liaison with the auditors for schedules and audit evidence process. 
• Assisting in preparing tax analysis for tax agents to meet the deadline for submission of annual tax returns to the authority. 
• Verify staff claims to ensure it is consistent with the Company’s policy. 
• Assisting with any finance and accounting matter as requested including ad-hoc reports, analysis and involvements/leading projects as required. 
• Other tasks or assignments as required from time to time by the Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• At least 3-4 years of experience in accounting-related fields. Strong accounting concepts and knowledge are prerequisites.
• Possess good interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin with good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
• Ability to work across cultures with different functions and in a team environment
• Experience in Excel and SAP is an advantage.
