JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

  • The HR Manager supervises the company or organization's hiring process, from recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new staff. He / She helps connect executives with employees, build an employer brand, improve employee engagement, and build strategic talent resources plans.
  • The HR manager takes ownership of all HR matters across the company from recruitment to performance reviews, wage reviews, disciplinary action, industrial relationships and learning & development. Must be well versed in Malaysia Labour Law and Labour Court processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and policies which support the overall business' strategy and direction
  • Maintain organization chart, job descriptions, succession plans, staff data in the HR system, employee directory & handbook, and other HR processes.
  • Design and maintain an attractive compensations and benefits plan to attract and retain talents
  • Manage the entire recruitment process (from hunting leads, interviewing, selection, onboarding, including exit interviews)
  • Grow human capital skill sets and performance through (re-)training & (re-)development, engagement, motivation, counselling & coaching
  • Drive company wide performance review and manage performing & non-performaing staff accordingly.
  • Ensures legal compliance with applicable HR regulations, conducting investigations, maintaining records & representing the company at hearings.
  • Any other assignments as given

Requirements

  • Min 5 years of HR Manager experience with a proven track record in a large organization (> 500 staff)
  • In-depth knowledge of labour law, HR systems & best practices
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills and the ability to build effective interpersonal relationships with all levels of the company
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • Ability to architect and implement HR strategy and plans on i) Talent Management - Competencies, Recruitment, Selection & Succession ii) Performance Management iii) Learning & Development iv) Compensation and Benefits v) Employee Relationships
  • Strong leadership qualities & business acumen
