JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Senior Manager/Director, Operations Planning will be leading a team of planning managers/executives globally to initialize, develop and drive the global supply chain and digitalization roadmap and integration projects, as well as driving process optimization/harmonization at the same time. It is responsible for working with various functions to improve the competency of the Operations Planning and Controlling staff.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the Product Line Manufacturing Strategy
  • Lead cross-functional ramp-up teams for innovative production manufacturing processes.
  • Solve challenging problems with a systematic approach and with cross-functional teams.
  • Organize and assure product and technology transfers to production with NPI/Engineering team.
  • Be responsible for planning, coordination and execution of assigned ramp-up projects handled within Product Lines and act as ramp-up project leader.
  • Define and drive quality improvement programs together with the Quality Management department based on customer failure returns.
  • Contribute to the organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting the roadmap/program at Operating Planning Controlling in alignment with cross-site activities and corporate functions.
  • Responsible to define cost-effective workflows for new manufacturing routes or partners, in alignment with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define process improvement roadmap and set up the platform with cross-functional teams to identify and roll out improvement measures/projects.
  • Define and implement supply chain/inventory systems and tools, including collaboration with external subcontracting partners when required.
  • Develop and implement a competency program (including a documentation framework) to upskill staff to facilitate the scalability of the organization.
  • Participate in supply chain/inventory process audit and drive closure of any findings; ensuring supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards.
  • Work with functional groups to review, set up and automate (digitalize) KPIs, facilitating lean and agile organization to achieve company goals.
  • Maintain and expand professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, contributing to internal workshops and training, and benchmarking practices.
  • Work with enabling team and provide feedback to ensure supply chain or inventory enabling of new routes or partners are governed within the business process framework of Operation Planning Controlling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Supply Chain / Business Administration / Engineering with planning management experience and skillset
  • Min 8 years of experience with semiconductor manufacturing e.g. from process engineering and production control as well as ideally experience in assembly and test
  • Leading a team of more than 10 staff globally.
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor technologies and supply chain
  • Proven problem-solving skills and solid project management expertise.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as international exposure
  • Relevant experience in the semiconductor/electronic manufacturing industry; experience managing OSAT partners will be an added advantage.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage competing priorities and excellent communication skillset to engage both management and working level (internal & external)
  • Ability to lead global cross-functional projects/teams with the capacity to work with people at all levels from diverse backgrounds.
