JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities 

• Participate and assist the companies within the group (“Group”) to identify and evaluate investments to increase land bank for the development of the plantation business of the Group (“Expansion”). 
• Construct and/or review transaction models for Expansion including financial models or cash flow projections for financial viability as well as facilitate funding and financing arrangements. 
• Ensure the information provided from the technical and business functions is suitable for use in portfolio and transaction models and is based on appropriate, consistent and reasonable assumptions. 
• Undertake due diligence exercises and prepare reports for Expansion to the management and/or Board of Directors and assist in the negotiations with the counterparties for legal documentation. 
• Manage and assist internal teams in all aspects of integration or transition processes for Expansion purposes including organising meetings and coordinating analysis of information, with possible simultaneous projects requiring management at the same time. 
• Assist business units with the development of organic and inorganic growth strategies. 
• Develop and oversee marketing materials for topics such as company positioning, financing alternatives, and M&A strategic alternatives. 8. Providing analytical support and management of ad hoc projects as and when required. 

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree is required. 
• Minimum seven years of working experience in merger and acquisition (“M&A”), corporate and business development or planning, with at least one year in a managerial position.
• Strong background in financial analysis and modelling, transaction structuring, strategic planning and accounting. 
• Good understanding and knowledge of legal and contract structures related to M&A.
• Excellent presentation skills and good command of written and spoken English language are important.
• Possess knowledge of Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, Companies Act 2016, Corporate Governance guidelines and other compliance requirements are preferred.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Have solid and effective analytical abilities and a positive attitude, with a strong sense of responsibility and proactiveness and the ability to handle pressure and ad hoc matters.
