JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

  • Develop a long-, mid-and short-term strategy and business plan for the Malaysian NDT Business (NDT equipment, technology, solutions & technical after-sales);
  • Key focus on managing and growing customer base in the Energy Industry;
  • Manage a team of Technical and Commercial experts in NDT across Malaysia (5 staff). Reporting to the Regional General Manager in Singapore;
  • Identify and develop new businesses opportunities in Malaysia;
  • Manage and develop marketing content with support from the Marketing team;
  • Develop key relationships in the Industry with NDT manufacturing companies and potential clients;
  • Stay on top of technology and market developments in the NDT industry and strive to ensure that the company will be positioned as a key service provider in the Industry.

Requirements

  • BA Degree ideally in Engineering or at least a very strong technical education ‘on the job’. NDT accreditation/qualification is a plus.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the NDT Business with proven ability and successful track record in equipment/solutions selling to the energy industry. An industry expert with a strong network;
  • Must have the ability to translate Malaysia market requirements to create adequate solutions with the technical team;
  • Entrepreneurial and independent Senior Manager with a strong drive for results;
  • People manager who can drive and motivate a team to bring them to the next level;
  • An excellent negotiator who can communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders from different backgrounds and cultures;
  • High integrity professional;
  • Fluent in English.
