JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities 

  • Manage the full spectrum of HR operations which include recruitment, payroll administration, compensation & benefits, training & development, performance management, safety & health, and employee/industrial relations.
  • Support and oversee HR operations in other SEA subsidiaries.
  • Develop HR & Admin strategy planning, responsible for annual budgeting and making sure the total personnel and administration expenses are under control.
  • Carry out necessary research and analysis on the labour market, salary level, personnel cost, fluctuation rate, reasons for resignation etc. through internal and external sources, and prepare the proposals for management review.
  • Review and optimize HR policies and company rules to ensure compliance with the law and to enhance competitiveness in the industry.
  • Oversee the talent acquisition approach and operations which include recruitment and selection, manpower planning and succession management.
  • Oversee the training & development to identify and analyse the employee performance problems, coordinate with the HOD to determine ongoing training needs, and implement solutions to improve employee skills and knowledge and enhance job productivity.
  • Oversee the compensation and benefits structure, industry benchmarking and performance & rewards management.
  • Oversee the employee/ industrial relations in partnering with the management team, to provide proposals and suggestions to the management team and managerial level staff to resolve employee relations issues.
  • Be responsible for the performance of the HR & Admin team, guide and coach subordinates, develop a succession plan and create a talent pipeline for this position by preparing the potential successor.
  • Keep related persons informed about the organizational or personnel changes in the HR field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in HR/ Business Management/ Psychology or equivalent
  • 5-7 years of general HR work experience and min 3 years of experience in a multinational manufacturing company
  • Min 3 years of experience in leading a team
  • Comprehensive understanding of Malaysia labour laws and statutory regulations
  • Fluent in English and Malay language
  • Proficient in MS Office; Experience with HRM systems such as SAP is a plus
  • Very good business sense and strategic thinking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Team player, open-minded and flexible
  • High initiative, self-driven and independent; able to work under pressure and multi-tasking
  • Readiness to travel when required
