JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
We are looking for a dynamic HR Generalist with hands-on experience in managing day-to-day HR strategy and operations activities in a public-listed group of companies. This person will directly report to the Head of HR.
Responsibilities
- To manage the Company’s overall Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management System and Recruitment portfolios.
- Responsible for conducting market benchmarking exercises and surveys on total rewards and best practices to ensure market competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead, manage, administer and review the compensation & benefits policies and procedures to achieve compliance with implementation, external competitiveness and maintain internal equity.
- Conduct job evaluation exercises that include job grading and salary structure to maintain an equitable and competitive job.
- Review monthly payroll processing.
- Review and put in place a comprehensive Performance Management System to drive a pay-for-performance culture.
- Support the succession planning/ people review session to ensure the right talent is available to meet the business needs.
- Drive and ensure implementation effectiveness of talent acquisition to support the business requirement, including manpower planning, foreign workers hiring, etc.
- Handle recruitment activities ranging from sourcing, pre-screening, interviewing and placement of candidates, to maintaining recruitment-related records and reports
- Coordinate documentation and administration of confirmation, extension, termination, resignation, transfer, retirement etc.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent.
- At least 8 years of working experience as an HR Generalist preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Conversant with Malaysian Labour laws and prevailing HR practices.
- Sound experience in handling the full spectrum of HR functions-Compensation & Benefits (including Payroll), recruitment, employee relation and welfare, performance management, and staff discipline.
- Coordination of staff communication.
- Interviewing techniques.
- Hands-on experience in handling payroll systems.
- Excellent communication skills and negotiation skills.
- Proactive, independent and able to function with minimal supervision.
