JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Manufacturing is a key part of the advantaged supply chain of the Yeo’s Company.  This global organization manages a network of 6 manufacturing plants in 4 different countries with HQ in Singapore. Manufacturing is managing complex production lines (e.g. Tetra Pak, SIG, Retort Can, PET, CSD etc.) on an advantaged supply chain.

Manage the engineering resource within the business and control the budget/cost centre. Develop tools and processes that reduce engineering lead time, quality, reusability, reliability and compliance to standards. Measure and monitor objectives

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all-round technical support to manufacturing, co-packer and supplier
• Support plant on preventive maintenance program set up, TMP implementation, daily maintenance on process equipment & utilities & infrastructure
• Work close with plants to improve performance, reliability and capability to secure supply and accelerate innovation
• Facilities capital planning and budgeting for plants, monitor progress and regular reporting 
• Continues monitoring and analysis of workflow, robotics automation to improve productivity and solve problems with technical solutions.
• Serve as an SME for plants on development of new operations, improve performance, evaluate and manage risk
• Develop and execute a global manufacturing engineering roadmap and strategies, including engineering planning, scheduling, budgeting and process improvement
• Contribute to Product Development by collaborating closely with designers and engineers in the product development phase.
• A key part of the role is managing teams that handle engineering, quality control, and production in order to ensure the smooth execution of projects. Because directors of manufacturing are responsible for implementation, they meet regularly with managers and set key indicators for evaluating performance.

• Technical, engineering, maintenance and production leadership roles in manufacturing operations in a food and beverage, pharmaceutical industry
• >15 years previous work experience in a high volume, complex portfolio, matrixed business and consumer products organization
• Strong leadership qualities and able to promote team spirit and motivate the whole team
• Demonstrates technical mastery in Tetra Pak, SIG, PET operation and project management 
• Track record of people and change management
• Analytical thinking and result-driven, committed, responsible and collaborative
• Financial management, hands-on experience in maintenance cost reduction
• Good negotiation skills
• Fluent written and spoken English & local (Mandarin, Bahasa preferred) language, as well as strong communication skills, are a definite requirement.  Additional languages are desirable.
