JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

You will report to Finance Director and will lead the general ledger team of 5. You will be working with multiple functional teams (Credit Control and Account Receivables, Account Payables, Client Service, Central supports, etc), to evaluate business issues, and ensure the finance and accounting information is properly recorded and timely submission to regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the General Ledger team and oversee day-to-day finance, accounting, and administrative matters for 12 entities
• Supervise on daily operational/transactional processing to ensure the compliance of company standards of procedure & policies, relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements
• Timely submission of Annual Tax Computation, and the revision on tax installment plan periodically
• Timely submission of Service Tax filing
• Timely analysis, identification, communication, and resolution of balance sheet account reconciliation issues.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents; and ensure compliance with all matters relating to audit, tax, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with Finance Shared Service Center (SSC) Leads in ensuring proper maintenance of accurate, complete, and up-to-date accounting records of the entities and timely production of monthly Management Accounts and Reports.
• Regularly track and resolve outstanding issues that have been escalated, or further escalate to the necessary parties.
• Responsible for monthly P&L accruals plan, cost allocations model between Malaysia entities
• Analyse and present financial data, report, budget, business plans, etc. for forecasting cost and budget control
• Supports budgeting and forecasting financial activities
• Facilitate, coach, mentor, and guide team members to ensure they deliver desired results
• Assist in any other ad-hoc projects or assignments which may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Degree in accounting or professional certificate such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years working experience in Finance & Accounting Inclusive 3 years of audit experiences and team management experiences.
• Knowledge in SAP system, Service Tax, Withholding Tax, FP&A, Indirect Tax, Transfer Pricing, Audit, and system migration would be an advantage.
• Able to handle high-volume data for analysis and reporting purposes
• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office especially MS Excel
• Must be self-motivated and dynamic with a strong desire to learn.
• Able to work independently, good team player and possess leadership skills.
• Willing to learn & resourceful, demonstrate positive attitude & adaptability.
• Strong communication skills, with good written and spoken English.
