JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
- Involve in the full cycle of ERP and upcoming system development projects.
- Examine and evaluate current systems, identify system requirements and liaise with users to track additional requirements and features
- Collaborate with developers to produce new systems, validate changes by testing the programs.
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies and technical development
- Build and deploy full packages
- Build and deploy update packages
- Backup objects to different path code or as PAR files
- Execute special instructions like table/index generation, backup, generate & restore table
- Menu (Task View) Management
- Menu/Task view creation or deletion
- Setup role-based menu filtering
- Promotion tasks and task views from one environment to another
- Promoting/synchronizing menu filtering between test and production roles
- ESU/ASU Management
- Installation of ESUs or paper fixes
- Perform impact analysis
- Object promotion related to ESU
- Package management related to ESU
- Conduct End User Training.
- Provide End User Support by monitor and ensure the user’s issues attended timely for smooth implementation of the system – troubleshooting.
- Maintenance of Activities – Service restarts of enterprise servers, service restart for web components like JAS, AIS and BSSV instances.
- Oversee and manage Reports and other ad-hoc user reporting systems.
- Aid with the management of Oracle Databases
- Troubleshoot issues with JDE, Oracle database
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the immediate superior.
- User/Role Management
- Creation user IDs
- Assigning environments to roles
- Assigning roles to users
- Password reset for user IDs
- Management of users and roles
- Security Management
- Setup security for different roles
- Configuring different types of securities such as application, action, row, column, etc.
- Synchronizing test and production roles
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or other relevant disciplines
- At least 15 years of working experience in the related field
- Possesses hands-on exposure in software development and business information system
- Required skills: ERP Language, SQL, C++, PHP, VB and Java, Oracle Database
- Experience and knowledge of JDE E1 business process functionality in at least one key area (Finance, Contract Billing, Procurement, Contract Management)
- Proficiency in JDE E1 9.x data table structure
- Knowledge of the JDE Tools Object Management Workbench (OWM) configuration and project promotions
- Knowledge of Oracle Orchestra Studio
- Good communication and presentation skill with the ability to explain technical details to the non-technical staff
- Good analytical and problem-solving skill
- A team player and able to interact at all levels.
