JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage finance staff, which includes setting goals, developing processes, and providing guidance and constructive performance evaluations.
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable & receivable, and project accounting.
- Review and reconcile financial statements monthly; ensure that records are complete, accurate and up to date.
- Provide finance/ accounting support to the other departments/sister companies as needed to help improve cash flow, compliance and overall profitability.
- Work with government agencies and external auditors to ensure compliance with applicable regulations including reporting requirements, proper record-keeping and establishment of internal controls.
- Develop and implement accounting procedures to ensure maximum accuracy.
- Interbank Transfers, Foreign Currency exchange.
- Import/Export/LMW license-related reporting.
- Prepare forecasts of costs and revenues.
- Preparation of various financial statements and reports for HQ.
- Monitoring loans and instalment payments.
- Development and implementation of policies, priorities, and procedures related to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll.
- Provide tax advice and prepare tax returns.
Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification or equivalent bachelor’s degree in accountancy or Finance
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in general accounting or other accounting function, including 5 years of managerial experience.
- IT-literate with good MS office skills, especially Excel and experience with ERP systems.
- Familiar with current statutory, legal, and regulatory and accounting standard requirements.
- Experience in an international working environment with dual reporting lines.
- Excellent organizational skills and track record in implementing and improving financial business processes.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Must be hands-on with a CAN DO attitude.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
