Country Manager, Singapore – Division Inspection

Location: Singapore

Local Unit & Position Description

OUR CLIENT – Oil & Gas (OG) Singapore is seeking a Country Manager, Singapore to join its team. This position will be based out of its Singapore office. The successful individual will report to the Regional Manager APAC – Division Inspection and work closely with his regional management team.

 
Tasks may include

• From a “Greenfield” situation develop a strategic plan for Singapore to achieve sales growth and profitability targets within the OUR CLIENT strategic planning period (currently through 2015) that is aligned with the broader OUR CLIENT – OG’s strategic plan
• Leverage established industry relationships in OG market to develop new business
• Ensure that the reporting system of the country is implemented according to OUR CLIENT procedures
• As an initial responsibility, develop, execute, and track progress towards a 100-day and the annual operational plan to demonstrate the execution of the strategic plan
• Effectively coordinate with APAC regional management and employees designated to assist with business opportunities
• Represent OUR CLIENT’s perspectives in industry forums, on advisory boards, and in trade shows/conferences with numerous public speaking and client-facing channels as agreed upon with the manager
• Become knowledgeable about some of OUR CLIENT – O&G’s core service offerings expeditiously, in order to become a more effective business developer for increased client value
• When business revenue and needs allow, grow the team in Singapore using past experience as a leader coupled with OUR CLIENT values
• Maintain a motivated workforce by effective leadership, employee development, and by supporting their interactions with key clients and, in some cases, take on direct responsibility for key client relationships
• Demonstrate commitment to non-financial requirements such as the OUR CLIENT performance management and employee development systems and other programs by maintaining an acceptable rate of completion and timeliness

Position Qualifications

What Our Client is asking

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline, with a preference for an advanced degree in business administration (e.g., MBA), engineering, or an equivalent discipline
• Minimum 10 years of industry experience
• Documented history of sales and business development success in a consulting environment consistent with an executive level position
• Ability to articulate core industry issues in the O&G industry in general
• Ability to demonstrate professional writing and speaking skills, especially with a senior executive audience
• Be directly involved in inspection activities up to 50% of the time
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Experience on large scale Oil and Gas Projects
• Strong negotiation skills
• Familiarity with IT Software and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Technical standards
