JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Purpose
To support new project rollout & IP engineering on existing network infrastructure as well as perform Proof of Concept (POC) for new technology.
Key Accountabilities
- Focus on Mobile IP Core, ISP Core & IT Business Core.
- Deal with internal parties or vendors on projects' requirements & information gathering.
- Provide solutions for design & integration.
- Design documentation & network diagram preparation.
- Method of Procedure (MOP) preparation & configuration of IP nodes during project integration (Routing, Switching, Firewall, etc).
- Perform daily nodes’ performance/capacity observation and trigger upgrade if necessary.
- Assist Operation in troubleshooting during project implementation.
- Handover documentation preparation
Key Experiences and Qualification
- Degree in Electrical & Electronics / Telecommunication / Computer Science / IT / Networking or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience in IP networking.
- Possess relevant hand-on & knowledge of Cisco / Juniper / ZTE / Huawei / Nokia / Force10 IP node configuration.
- Familiar with series of the above-mentioned product road-map.
- Chassis dimensioning for above mentioned product.
- Proven knowledge of IP network design and routing & switching.
- General knowledge of Mobile 2G/3G/LTE/5G & STP / VRRP/ HSRP/ OSPF/ BGP/ MPLS/ QoS/ IPv6/ IDS & IPS is an added advantage.
- Understand Mobile 3G/LTE/5G architecture.
- Understand 3GPP protocols at least on IuB/IuR/IuCS/IuPS/Gr/Gn/Gi/sGi/S1-MME/S1-U/S3/S4/S5/S7/S8/S9/S10/S11/S12/S6a/SGs/Gx/Gy & 5G interfaces
- CCNA/CCNP/JNCIA-JUNOS/JNCIS-SP/JNCIP-SP certified is an added advantage.
