JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
- Design and Develop Imaging and Illumination Systems for optical sensors from conceptual design to design verification.
- Develop and build lab level optical experimentation to verify product concepts.
- Develop optical inspection methodology for optical lenses.
- Qualify and Buy-off new optical component toolings.
- Work with suppliers to sustain product quality and troubleshoot quality issues that may arise.
- Contribute to the development of the Intellectual Property of the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Optical Engineering, Applied Physics, or other relevant fields.
- At least 5 years of working experience in optical design.
- Competency in geometric and physical optics is a must.
- Familiarity with digital image processing would be an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience with optical simulation tools such as Zemax and TracePro.
- Familiarity with engineering software such as Matlab and MiniTab would be an added advantage.
