JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
- Support regions in increasing project quality by ensuring adherence to all the relevant instructions and standards of the SynQ ecosystem and Swisslog Quality Management System.
- Accumulating and sharing best practices from the regions regarding solution approach and usage.
- Actively contribute to the team and global organizational and product improvements by identifying trends.
- Monitor security aspects of the product
- Provide guidance and best practices to implementation projects
- Perform design and code reviews
- Participate in lessons learned / post project review meetings and product’s implementation
- In-depth knowledge of EJB/JSF/JPA and development of HTML 5 user interfaces
- Knowledge of Oracle or SQL Server database design, programming knowledge (JDBC, SQL) and performance tuning
- Develop and test software in accordance with requirements, test cases and design documentation
- Guarantee the compliances of the QA rules and guidelines
- Maintain and fix bugs
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
- Maintain an awareness of new technologies and their applicability to improving the framework and business
- Respond to internal customers promptly and competently
- Proactively work to develop and maintain good working relationships within the department, company and customers
- 10% Travel internationally to local country based offices
Requirements
- Obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or any equivalent degree.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience and track record in Software Development
- Experience in a commercial software development environment
- Knowledge in OO-Design and JAVA architectures
- Software design and development experience with web-based user interfaces
- Good Oracle or SQL Server database design and programming knowledge (JDBC, SQL)
- Demonstrated ability to manage a wide range of technical-related tasks and working with an experienced team of Professional Engineers and Project Managers
- Excellent skills in problem solving and communication
- Possess strong Java (SE, EE) Skills, SQL programming, and understanding of Relational database concepts, architecture and SQL programming
- Having knowledge in enterprise frameworks such as EJB, JPA, JMS, Web Services, Object Oriented Analysis Design, Java Web technologies will be an added advantage
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is a must
- Big data, distributed programming or NoSQL experience
- Deep knowledge of application integration and UI design
- Experience in the field of warehouse management systems, supply chain or logistics
- Ability to produce high-quality work and results under pressure
