JOB DESCRIPTION
Tasks
You will ensure the availability and functionality of the Company’s Enterprise Software Applications for clients, global account teams and support teams based out of Malaysia. Reporting to the Director of Cloud Services, the focus of the role is primarily to ensure excellent customer service for applications-related Incidents and service requests as they relate to the Company’s contractual obligations with a key objective of a reduction in incidents raised for application instances managed on the clients’ behalf.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the availability of managed applications for use with regular customer and operational KPI adherence reviews as defined by the cloud services business
- Act as a key technical contact for customers and manage customers and deliver the service according to the contractual service level agreement
- Review complex issues and determine action plans, take responsibility for the effective and timely delivery of managed applications services
- Evaluate the root cause of incidents and instigate actions to correct both the incident and the underlying cause
- Perform quality control, verification and validation activities
- Assist in the review and maintenance of technical standards and policies
- Maintain the documentation and processes for administration and support
- Ensure all activities are in line with the business direction of the cloud services
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Information Technology, Business or Commerce with a focus on Application Architecture or IT Systems, or equivalent industry experience.
- More than 5 years of experience in an IT Service Delivery role.
- Understanding of the ITIL framework, experience working in a mature change management process environment.
- 1-3 years of experience in supporting and/or administrating specialist mining applications in a medium-to-large enterprise environment.
- Excellent knowledge of database fundamentals, Windows or Unix system administration.
- Good understanding of Enterprise Application Architecture and Distributed Applications Architecture.
- ITIL Certification at Foundation level.
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
