JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
As a BI Analyst you will be responsible for providing insight and analysis into the performance of our product suite, the brands we work with, and ultimately the customers. You will combine your domain knowledge and experience of quantitative and statistical methods to ensure that our overall marketing and product strategies become ‘data-driven’ and that Sr. Managers and Directors are able to consume the reports and insights needed to align to product key performance indicators.
You will be part of a team responsible for driving insight into the commercial and product performance, generating the data to drive decision-making and informing marketing and product strategies. You will help to identify and solve marketing and product specific problems to ensure overall client satisfaction.
Working with other business units and stakeholders across the business for the Asia and Australia region you will combine data sources to provide a comprehensive overview of all marketing and product performance including financial data, customer data and product quality.
The BI Analyst will also need to be able to answer key questions on how the brand sites are being used particularly around the conversion funnel as well as usage on to ensure the websites are optimized to increase the likelihood that a visitor will convert. Experience with in-depth web analytics is essential.
Responsibilities
- Develop flexible and re-usable reports which the business can use to better understand product performance and financials
- Create and maintain key reports, dashboards and analysis utilizing SQL, Tableau and Web Analytics tools
- Combine data from various sources to determine the impact and effectiveness of each campaign initiative
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Ecomms departments to help improve the business’ understanding of the usability of the different brand sites
- Advise on AB testing hypotheses and approaches, given an understanding of website performance and business objectives
- Collaborate on projects plans and tasks that require an understanding of how users use each brand’s website, particularly around the conversion funnel
- Collaborate with the data warehouse team to ensure data integrity issues are dealt with
Requirements
- 3-5 years of solid experience with SQL
- 3-5 years of solid experience with Tableau using large & complex datasets
- 3-5 years of solid experience with Web Analytics applications (Webtrekk, Hotjar and other similar tools.
- Experience in defining and measuring business success, quality metrics, standards and reporting
- Solid experience with working with large volumes of data in Excel
- Ability to understand complex technical problems to non-technical senior people simply
- Ability to think about problems in a structured and logical method
- Highly articulate in being able to explain and present data and insights
- Self-confidence to challenge/debate with Senior Managers and Directors on implications of what data suggests
- Experience in analyzing every aspect of website user experience
- Understand the fundamentals of Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Pay Per Clicks (PPC) and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) campaigns
- Proven experience in building models and tools which can be easily re-used/expanded to accommodate future changes
- Basic understanding of statistics
