JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Sourcing Manager, SEA
Summary
Sourcing expert with responsibilities ranging from identification of potential suppliers through to implementation of successful product launches. The role focuses primarily on sourcing of commodity, raw materials, private label, and packaging. The role requires extensive travel within SEA (Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, other new markets) providing hands-on expertise to interact with glove suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Sourcing. Identify potential suppliers and their capabilities for the best price.
· Responsible for pricing and supplier agreement negotiations.
· Market intelligence. Gather market data on market landscape and dynamics to provide a platform to be market competitive and resilient.
· Commercial team member for qualification and new product development teams.
· Project Management through the Company’s procedure of Design Control Process. Conducts product qualification and validation as necessary
· Vendor Management and supply chain. Work effectively with suppliers and global sourcing teams on resolving issues with the supply chain.
· Project development – to develop new potential projects such as exploring glove
· Sources and any gloves with enhanced features or any other new products which are requested by other facilities within the Company.
Qualifications / Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Science / Engineering or equivalent
· Strong background in Finance or Procurement would be an added advantage
- Fluency in English (required) and preferably knowledge of conversational Mandarin
· Effective Project Management & Coordination Skills
· High Degree of Logical Thinking, Organizing and Planning
· Excellent Communication Skills
· Collaborative Approach to Problem Solving
· Knowledge of QA & RA Requirements & External Standards on Products
