JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Objective

The HR Manager will be responsible for the full spectrum of HR needs of Our Client in Malaysia. The individual will play an advisory role on all human capital matters, with a strong focus on talent attraction and retention. Long term HR strategies and practical medium-term solutions to meet business goals, will be reviewed and designed to align with organization strategy. Be the change agent to drive new culture, values and behaviors to enable a shared vision across the organization. Key to success in this critical role will be the ability to engage senior leaders on a strategic level whilst retaining a strong oversight on HR operational matters.

Location and Reporting Line

This role is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and reports to the HR Vice-President, APAC.

Responsibilities

·  Manage the full spectrum of HR functions, including training and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations and all day-to-day operational activities.

·  Develop and implement HR policies and processes in compliance with local employment regulations and practices and business direction.

·  Drive annual performance appraisal, salary review and performance bonus process.

·  Support in the implementation of APAC projects including career model framework, succession planning, salary benchmarking and job evaluation.

·  Ensure competitive and performance driven compensation and benefit positioning to attract and retain talent.

·  Drive employee communication and engagement activities.

·  Collaborate with other Country HR Managers regionally for sharing of best practices and ideas.

·  Interface with all levels of organization to provide coaching and counselling on all HR issues.

·  Manage annual HR budget.

·  Participate in audits of HR activities to ensure compliance where required.

·  Prepare and maintain HR reports.

·  Participate in other projects, locally or regionally, as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

·  Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent

·  Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity  

·  Well versed in employment laws and regulations as well as industry practices
