JOB DESCRIPTION
Brief overview of the position:
Reports to the Delivery Manager/Project Manager on project basis and responsible to ensure that the customer business and system requirements are correctly and completely captured and met as per agreed business needs.
The main responsibilities:
- Leads the development of systems architecture for complex system or an entire corporate suits of systems. Takes full responsibility for the overall system design.
- Assures specification and design work to assist in the development of service level agreements and any associated service guarantees.
- Takes responsibility for the strategy and methods used in implementing systems architecture in a significant organization.
- Communicates persuasively with senior IT and business managers.
- Develops new techniques for use in systems architecture. Promotes the systems architecture discipline within the wider IT community. Takes and active role in the development of other staff.
- Develops system architectures containing logical models of the IT components and interface involved.
- Produces detailed component specifications from system architectures, taking into consideration to the intended uses of the architectures as a whole.
- Translates component specification into detailed designs for implementation using selected products.
- Produces documentation for system architectures.
- Maintains good knowledge of current practice and awareness of current developments within own area(s) of expertise.
The requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- 5 to 10 years of working experience in the design, development and implementation, with 5 years experience in software architecture & pre-sales.
- Experienced in web application development (Microsoft technologies including .Net, SQL, etc)
- Experienced in integration with 3rd party application (SAP, Oracle, Sharepoint, etc)
- Experienced in performing project estimations
- Experienced in managing technical resources
