JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
·Provides Level-3 technical support to other junior / remote engineers and be the focal person to escalate unresolved non-hardware problems to the principal.
·Provides advice / consultation to maintenance customers in terms of network optimization.
·Be the focal person to simulate unresolved problems in the lab to seek solutions and data collection in order to escalate the cases to the principal.
·Be the focal person to look into the new skills required to fulfill new maintenance contract requirements.
·Ensures network operation availability in accordance with the agreed contractual service level agreement (SLA).
·Acts as the technical lead when assigned to project deployment.
·Administers, configures, updates, maintains and manages any network configuration requests.
·Performs resolution to network related incidents as per the agreed SLA and closes the incidents accordingly.
·Implements solutions / improvements where appropriate or required.
·Conducts problem management as and when required, producing clear, detailed explanations and remedial actions taken for network services outage.
·Performs requested health checks on the network equipment.
·Performs scheduled preventative maintenance and generates reports upon the completion of the tasks.
·Maintains, monitors, creates, updates and supports network segmentation.
·Provides high-level and detailed network diagrams for customers.
·Prepares port-mapping diagram for all network equipment and ensures all are properly labeled.
·Maintains, monitors and supports the access to the network.
·Performs, installs, moves, adds and changes (IMAC) activities for the network equipment if required.
·Maintains up-to-date inventory information for network equipment, schematic diagrams and other related documentations.
·Analyses network related alert, where possible give recommendations for improvement and plans for action.
·Ensures all security incidents, breaches or exposures are resolved with proposed action plans.
·Performs backup for all network devices configuration file for safekeeping on a regular basis and after any configuration updates.
·Occasionally conducts skills transfer to other junior engineers.
Requirements
·Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
·Required skill(s): Routing & Switching, Cisco Routers, LAN, WAN.
·Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.
·Certifications required: CCNA and CCNP (security OR routing and switching preferred).
·At least 3 to 4 year(s) of working experience in network switching and routing and security experience.
·Preferably Senior Executives specializing in IT/Computer - Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent.
·Full-Time position available.
