JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Activities
•Acts as a team leader for the whole RF designer team, with a responsibility of maintaining and further developing the team of experts. Team size 1+~4.
•Creates UHF/HF antenna designs and supports building prototype samples based on industry requirements and customer demand.
•Participates in detailed analysis and supports on defining design criteria to meet product approval requirements and manufacturing performance specifications and requirements.
•Serves as technical advisor (and connection point) to Customers, Business & Product Management on
RF and RFID/antenna related inquiries.
•Manages tight time schedules and resources efficiently and proactively without dropping continuous innovation sentiment.
•Exercises out-of-the-box thinking while developing and creating innovative product ideas, is highly motivated, and independent in design work.
Follows established processes and works closely with Customers, Partners, Business, Product Management, Product Development, Quality and Operations to ensure that designs meet the requirements and are suitable for mass production, where applicable.
•Performs all duties in full compliance of all laws, safety and environmental regulations, and in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures
•Evaluation and creation of IP rights and material
Requirements
Qualifications: Has produced ARC approved antenna designs and/or similarly challenging and proven design tasks. Multiple RFID antennae designs completed for mass production.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years RFID antenna design related experience, familiar with commonly used 3D electromagnetic simulation software (CST/HFSS/ADS), 2D/3D AutoCAD, has worked with prototypes before and understands the link, as well as the limitations, between samples and mass production.
Education: Degree in Engineering, MSc in electrical or high-frequency engineering preferred. Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory.
Previous experience in UHF antenna designing is necessary.
Familiar with different antenna architectures and matching techniques.
Familiar with RF design-, measurement- and test-equipment (i.e. Voyantic Tagformance, Speedway reader, Network/Spectrum/Impedance analyser, ARC test setup and test method, inlay manufacturing testers). Familiar with copper and aluminium antenna etching processes plus follows other promising antenna manufacturing technologies.
Familiar with mainstream ICs and their capabilities and functionalities.
Familiar or knowledge on Inlay prototyping, IC attachment, IC bonding technologies, converting. Knowledge on sensor ICs (RF-Micron), ICs with adaptive capacitance (Monza R6), Dual interface or protocol ICs.
